I've been given a few letters from the alphabet meme I posted here:

B is for books: What are your five desert island books? (And no fair using things like The Complete Works of....) Ooh, that's really hard. I think I'd like:
1.
A Rose In Winter, by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, because it's a romance mystery I can (and do) read again and again and enjoy each time.
2.
The Women's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets, because it's just HUGE and chock full of interesting things.
3. I suppose it would be good to have an herbal with me for medicine but if I were stuck on a desert isle, I wouldn't know the plants there so I don't know how useful that would be. :/
4.
The Merck Manual of Medical Diagnosis and Therapy - Medical Professional version, 18th edition. Because it's like the BIBLE of medical treatment. I could almost take out my own tonsils with this book.
5. NO FRICKING CLUE what else. Maybe a Jude Devereaux novel.
C= chocolate... what's your favorite? (Brand...type...etc...) I pretty much adore all chocolate. Godiva is my favorite, I think - I especially love their chocolate starfish with raspberry filling - but I rarely get Godiva. I will put the serious hurt on any chocolate item with caramel in it. Cadbury Caramellos are LOVE. I also really enjoy those Lindor Lindt Truffle thingies that are individually wrapped in different colored cellophane and have yummy creamy centers. Mmmmm.
M = music...what was your favorite musical group/musician as a teen? I was a teen in the 80s, and I was so very into hard rock and hair metal bands, it was not funny. I was especially fond of KISS, so much so that I wrote a couple of milk crates full of fics about them at the tender age of 12 or 13. :P My room was PLASTERED with KISS posters. But I was also a fan of other popular bands at the time such as Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Poison, then less mainstream things like Dead Milkmen and Public Image Limited, and then I got into the proto-emo music such as The Cure and The Church. That's about where I was musically when I entered college, when I mellowed more and went with artists like Suzanne Vega and Cocteau Twins.
P = pajamas...what are the sexiest pajamas you own? *g* Oh, lord, I have no sexy pajamas! My jammies are FUNCTIONAL and MIGHT be described by some as cute (I have yellow and blue Eeyore jammies) but up here near Canada, we can't afford to be sexy, it's too frickin' cold. :P When I was younger, single, with no major expenses, had a hot body and lived in a hot climate, I wore stuff from Victoria's Secret all the time and LOVED buying the gorgeous matching lingerie sets. Now? Target, baby. I have kids who never stop eating, so I can never afford anything better, and I have a waistline that is NOT flattered by VS items. :P
S - for sex or strangest. Strangest place you've had sex? (location, not body part) ;) Oh, um...I'm not sure what you'd consider strange. I've had a lot of outdoor sex. Sitting on the front porch with people walking by and looking at us - that was kind of strange I guess - but I've also had sex on the outdoor laundry room steps, on the roof of the apartment below me, in the backyard, on a balcony...and also indoors in kind of odd places, like in the bathroom at a record store?
V is for Vacation....where would you like to go most and why? I'd like to visit everywhere and be a world traveler. Unfortunately, that's not compatible with reality, because I'm afraid to fly (I do it anyway but I hate it and white-knuckle my way through it), and I'm afraid of water so I won't go on a cruise, which leaves me where I am - landlocked at the asscrack of Canada. :P Mexico was okay. I've been to about 70% of the states in the country. I guess maybe I'll venture to Canada since I could pretty much spit and hit it from here. If I had a beach sort of body I'd love to go to the beach for vacation, but it takes an act of Congress to get me in a swimsuit now. Back in my bikini-wearing days, my favorite beach was Destin, Florida. We went for family vacations there every few years. I LOVED the white sand and the sound of the surf. Gorgeous. Bizarre for someone so afraid of water, I guess, but it was very soothing just lying on the chaise there and falling asleep to the sound of the surf with the wind blowing on my warm body. *sigh*
