Turns out that my library drive didn't actually die, but it did did appear to have a stroke. After removing it from its external casing, I attached it to the CPU to see whether it could run a chkdsk. Tests ran, file structures and various indexes were repaired, and my library is (mostly) whole again. I'm guessing a sector or three went bad, and ( Read more... )

A few days ago, I got the replacement Playstation 2. I was looking forward to playing Katamari Damacy yesterday morning, so I popped the game in while I ate breakfast.
