A Choice, You Say?

A Choice, You Say?

It wasn’t supposed to end this way

Wasn’t supposed to end

We were struggling on like no other, just fine

1 step ahead and 3 steps back

And a million and one circumstances

punching us in the stomach;

making us just a little bitter

But we were weaving the history of Our Story

Retelling it to each other; to remind us, to continue;

to one day tell our children

We had this Vision ahead;

that one day, things would be at peace

Not knowing how or when, just aiming towards it

It was never an option to fail

on the way, not like this

It never occurred to us -

that we should be apart to save each other

Not that we would have to let go of that emotional investment

as if it never have been;

the One we have been fighting for, for so long

Never thought about the fact

that the love between us was an obstacle,

refraining us from being who we are

That Love can tear apart with its very existence

No it was never a choice to be made

Not like this

To let go what we love most

That is just not fair

How can it even be an Option?

And still we are Here and we Have To

It breaks us either way; breaking apart or breaking together

Are we saving each other? I don’t know. Do you know?

Try to reason with the heart and we end up in Circles

Try to reason with logic and it creates a Chaos

I have run out of reasonable thoughts

and understandable feelings too

It wasn´t supposed to end this way

Wasn´t supposed to End.
