countdown to the weekend...

I won a scratch off today! I never win those damn things, unless it's a dollar or two. I won $10 today, tho. That's cool shit cause I am so damn broke! This weekend is gonna suck just a lil bit cause I don't have any money at all, but then there are a couple things I want to do that don't cost any money. I want to check out this bike trail and go to the park, get some stuff done around the crib, and sit by the pool. Not bad for a poor girl, huh? lol.
Yesterday my sister told me the saddest story ever, which led me to help her in the grossest thing ever. A couple days ago, on her way to work, she saw something in the road that she couldn't make out. As she got closer, she realized it was a big ass turtle! She pulled over and moved him to the side of the road. Even though he was dead already, she didn't want people driving over him and squishing him. Then every day this week she's had to drive past in the morning and see the dead turtle on the side of the road. It makes her very say. She wanted to burry him, so I told her I would help. If I saw a dead froggie every day it would make me sad, too. So we took some old towels and drove to the road he was on. There was a pond nearby, but he had to climb a pretty steep hill and make it half way across the hot ass road. I'm pretty sure he left the pond to die. He was huge and the pond wasn't, so I figured him for the wise old turtle who crawled off into the sunset. When we got there, I put a towel over the turtle so I wouldn't be touching him, then picked him up by the shell and damn was he heavy!!! It was kinda freaky. We put him in the back of the truck and drove back to my parent's where we had dug a hole in the back. I put him inside and covered him with dirt, and we piled some rocks at the head for a headstone. We just wanted to be sure that his body wasn't desecrated and he was burried in a respectful manner. You might think I'm fuckin retarded, but then you don't understand how much I love animals. My pets have always been like family members to me, and watching all kinds of animals has always been interesting and entertaining to me. Just imagine if you were driving to work and there was a little dead puppy right in the middle of the road, and you knew there would be cars driving over him until he was mush. All animals are as cute as puppies to me. And my sister was so greatful that I was on her level with this kind of stuff. I told her she owes me a mental frog moment, if something happens to one of my guys in the pond, or, God forbid, Barkers.
Speaking of my little man, I swear he gets smarter every day. He picks up on mine and Timm's actions and he reacts differently to all of them. He knows when it's time to play, he knows when he's going back in the tank, he lets Timm hand-feed him, and he curls up on me when I sit in front of the tv. We bought a pinky mouse for Barkers to try, and I didn't think he would be able to eat it because it was as big as half of Barkley! Timmy held it with tweesers and dangled it in front of Barkley, and he tipped his head back and opened his mouth, and let Timmy just drop it in! too funny.
Well, now I'm restless with only 15 minutes of the day left, so I'm gonna go wander around.
