Watching the Virginia Tech Convocation...
Since yesterday I have been following this whole thing as a lot of others have around the country (world) and it just continues to make me so angry. Clearly this kid who did the shooting had some mental issues. You don't start thinking that slaughtering large groups of people is a good idea if you are sane, but still, I just don't understand why these guys (who generally kill themselves) go on shooting sprees before hand? If they are depressed, or angry or whatever, why don't they just kill themselves and leave innocent people out of it!?
Maybe he was pissed at his girlfriend, who knows what the issue with her was, so he shot her, but why kill 31 other people too? I just don't get it. I guess people who are that emotionally messed up that they are willing to kill themselves or kill someone they cared about aren't thinking reasonably or rationally, but you'd hope that they at least would realize that killing innocent people won't make them less angry or depressed.
