I miss Third Watch! **sniffle**
Tonight I Tivo'd "Criminal Minds" because this week's trailer showed them working on a case that mirrored Jack the Ripper and I am a HUGE Jack The Ripper buff...(I know...shocking, right?LOL) Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Josh Stewart, formerly "Brenden Finney" on Third Watch was guest starring. He was sporting stubble, a New Orleans accent (that was done very well I must say!) and those sleepy, bedroom eyes that reminded me why I loved him so much on Third Watch!
So immediatley after it was over I scrolled through my reruns of Third Watch on the tivo and rewatched the series finale and I cried my eyes out. I just can't think of a show that hooked me as emotionally as Third Watch did. It had so many wonderfully complex character, such brilliant writing and such wonderful acting. I wish it had gone on for another 6 seasons, but alas, nothing good lasts forever, especially in TV.
I really hope that they put the entire series out on DVD soon because I would love to have them all sitting on my shelf to watch and rewatch again and again. Until then, though, I guess I will have to depend on my Tivo and TNT to help me relive the memories.
And...in honor of Third Watch I shall end with this... " MAURICE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
