So today I presented my Masters research, I have the potential of one last round of edits required to get the marks I want, but for the most part I can go back to y'know... gaming and drinking on weekends in stead of freaking writing and researching all day every day. We came, we drank, we played with a lot of toy pistols! It's Frank's 30th Birthday so there was a ho-down in Ashfield last night, and a great night was had by all.
It's the most fabulous time of the year! Mardi Gras season! And that means it's time to grab hold of your favourite fag, a fabulous hair do and hit the party. Here's some of my shots from the pride parade.
I finally found a decent manicurist in Sydney that will do Japanese style 3D nail art.
The girl was a bit standoffish in that way that bored manicurists can be but she did a good job and more importantly she had a number of copies of Nail Max that I don't own.
For those of you not in Sydney this city is about to host World Youth Day 2008 a "faith and youth" conference and gathering organised by the Catholic Church; we even get a visit from the Pontif, Pope Mobile 'n' All

Okay so we're both home safe and sound. Mikey's flight landed some 5 minutes after mine did and I still managed to miss him at customs and get stuck behind a 200 person Chinese tour group. Not helped when they all flapped and squawked at the only Chinese speaking customs official on duty because their group leader had already gone through the gates

Nothing quite like a Booker for excess so the rest of the weekend pretty much made up for any attempt at dieting had over the previous several weeks.
