Summer of George, Day 36

Jul 10, 2009 20:49

I am at the hotel in Kentucky, and had quite a time getting here. We got a little turned around and off track coming out of Pennsylvania, but that wasn't too much of a hindrance. It was a long grueling drive though. I was very glad to get back to the hotel just now. We went straight to the tux plave and got there after 2:00, having left at 6:30. Traffic in Lexington is miserable, but that is to be expected. And lights bother me less when there are actually cars coming through the other part of the intersection, and hence there is a logical reason for the long line of cars you are in to be stopped. It drives me nuts in somerset when you sit for three minutes while zero cars pull out from the other direction and nobody goes, and the stupid red lights transform a three minute drive into a fifteen minute drive. But I digress. Anyway, I had early lunch at mcdonaldas, ate three pancakes, a piece of sausage, scrambled eggs, and a biscuit. I had scrambled eggs and toast at home before leaving, too. Anyway then from the tux place we got to the hotel by 3:00 or so, and then I rushed to the church. I barely got there in time, but there was no actual problem. After that was the rehearsal dinner, which was very nice, I should have gotten fish but opted for the cheeseburger, red meat carnivore that I am. My legs were killing me from running six miles yesterday, five the say before, and being cramped up in the car all day, so I opted not to run tonight, though it was a tough choice. I plan to take a good log run early in the morning though, and reasoned it would be counter-productive to my legs recovering.

Anyway, I am suffering from ADD here, I forget what else I was going to say... Oh yes, I did do my lowe abs exercises just a. Bit ago in the hotel room. Tomorrow I will have to find some decent sort of breakfast somewhere. I hate the idea of fast food, I'd prefer eggs, fruit, oatmeal. But I will live.

Anyway, now I am stopping. Peace and long life.
