The Poetry Bonanza
has been fun! I want more people MORE!
Three things I want to share:
1. On the continued topic of poetry, I have these three long ribbons in my office. When I hear or read something that really gets me, I write it down and pin it up. Some Kiss We Want is the top middle there. I couldn't decide which to pick to put up. :) My desk on the other side of the door there, so I can read them from where I sit. There are a lot of song lyrics. Current favorite song lyrics (top right ribbon):

I'm packing up
I'm willing to be wrong
I'm willing to be wrong. That just kills me. Sounds like a one-shot inspiration in the making to me. Or perhaps a certain chapter of a certain story...
Incidentally, the ribbons are from my wedding bouquet *will resist temptation to pic spam*
2. During this bout of poetryluv, slytherinswench asked dynonugget if she ever inspired herself. "Have you ever inspired yourself? Sometimes I will write a line and it will stay with me forever." *hopes it's okay to quote slytherinswench here*
This got me thinking. It also had me going back to to early CH chapters and searching for my favorite lines. I love this whole section of Ch. 24 - Please... :
Right. Okay. This is the way it was. He loved her. He loved Hermione Granger. And she didn’t love him back. Right.
Draco rolled off of her and they both lay on their backs staring at the ceiling.
An awkward silence poured over them, filling up the small spaces between them on the bed. Between their touching arms, their sweaty shoulders, and between his naked thigh and her hers.
Draco wanted her to leave. Or he wanted to trap her underneath him and never let her leave.
I know my f-list is chock-full of fabulous writers. I want to know what your favorite line are that you've written. I want you to not be shy or humble. I want to know what you love that you've written. Do it! I demand it! lol. Okay, I don't demand it. But I would love to know. :)
3. Lastly, speaking of my talented f-list. forbiddenawards? What? Someone out there is lovin-up on me and my gals. And what clever category names they have. I just love that! So, check out the Forbidden Awards. Nominations are still open!!

Okay, that is all I have for the moment. I am going to the cafe that has belly dancing on Saturday nights to WRITE! I have spent, like, 4 days straight with CH and fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck..... but I finally made progress and am just about done with the scene that was kicking my ass. I predict that it will be one of the scenes I want to redo in the future, but it has some lovely parts that I am happy with now. And that will have to be good enough. :)
