On Hiatus
Alright babes, here's the deal:
You know about my company merging with another company and how I have a job til the (quickly approaching) end of the year. And the new company wants me, but the scenario seems to be a bit different (contracting vs. employee). So, I'm in this position of feeling like I need to prove myself to them. Any projects I work on with them now are on top of my regular job. I just got contracted for the next two weeks for about 30 hours each week. Yes, on top of my "job". Yikes! But, the mulah will go a long way towards that car we need to buy. Very sad for me, I've fallen in love with the 2009 Imprezza. And I will NOT buy a brand new car. *sigh*
I'm going to do my damnedest to carve out time to do the new drabble prompt in dramione_ldws . I really can't believe I've made it this far. And inadaze22 rocked it this week with the Judge's Choice for Eat! this week! You Go Girl!
But, no CH for a bit. I just don't see how I can fit it in. *sad face* And as for LJ... I'll either be on here more as a means of escape, distraction, and procrastination, or, I'll do the right thing, and focus all my energy on work. Two weeks. I can do this. I have an espresso machine and I am all stocked up on supplies.
And then it will be Thanksgiving. And Mr. Ilke and are going to my Grandparents'. I usually do TG at my house, but my mom and I decided that we needed to do a TG there, in case it is the last time. Speaking of which, my Grandfather had a small heart attack yesterday and is in the hospital. :( He is doing well though and coming home today. We'll be gone for over a week! God, I hope their wireless is working!
