A couple years ago I read a book in which the main character was a painter. His mentor had taught him this way to portray an object not by painting the object itself but by painting the things that touched it, if that makes sense. Contact makes me think of that, sometimes. Well, I've had sort of a hard time focusing today. Sigh. But I went and saw Professor Essid, and he recommended watching a couple of movies that might be relevent.
