So apparently, I'm famous.

I went in to the Writing Center to talk to Professor Essid yesterday, and I had to sit outside for a minute or two. I don't remember how it happened, exactly, but the administrative assistant asked if I was a new tutor. She was new last semester, so of course since I didn't exist back then, she didn't know me. I told her no, I had just taken last semester off because I was student teaching. At this point Professor Carleton, who was also in the waiting room for some reason, told her, this is Anne Marie. Her response to this is: oh, you're Anne Marie? And I, of course, said yes, but I must have had a funny look on my face (something along the lines of "why do you know my name?") because she said, somewhat jokingly, you're famous. I am sure the funny look deepened at that point, but I can't remember exactly how I responded. But then Professor Carleton took pity on me and said, not very jokingly, she's heard a lot about you. (Funny look continues.) Nothing but good things.

Aside from being amusing, this is rather flattering. I didn't realize that Professor Essid and/or Professor Carleton thought highly enough of me to talk about me that much. Go me. ^_^

teaching, happiness
