stuff... and junk

Today I went to the Art Gallery of NSW with Rowena to have a look at the Goddess exhibit before it ends, on the 28th of Jan. It was funky. There were traditional Indian drummers who did shows twice a day. Nothing like hearing drumming to get the tribal in you going. I love the feel of such loud noises vibrating in my chest. Drums and fireworks. Oh ( Read more... )

Oh and one more thing, I've started watching this lovely anime of Sam's (yes I'm finally up to her lot) called The Last Exile, and it's absolutely beautiful the animation. And it's a great story so far... plus.. I finally was able to recognise Crispin Freeman! He really is good at changing his voice.

It's horrible trying to pick out voice actors for me, as most of them wind up sound similar. The guy that played Kiba sounds similar to Crispin does in The Last Exile. But after wathing Wolf's Rain, I could distinguish Tsume with Shannon Casul. Yet all this time I thought he was Kiba.

Dunno if that had any impact on why I really liked Kiba...

Anyhow I was watching Trigun, and all of a sudden Higay's voice popped up... he was Nives as a child. I think that's what led me to like Nives... -__-
Perhaps it's just the bad boy thing? I just wanted to give him a hug! But I was cheering for Vash in the end, of course... Regardless if I liked Nives when he was young, he was just a bit messed up in the end.

Ah... Vash ^_^

Still don't see how you could pair him with Wolfwood though. I was routing for Maril. I think I like that sort of a relationship, the carefree sort, where that sort of a guy gets a head strong woman, with a kind heart.

A lot like Goku and Chi Chi, and Gohan and.. Hercules Daughter - of which I can't remember the name.

And though I did like Wolfwood's carefree side, and loved how he was affected by Vash, I wasn't too touched when he died. But I did like that he for once wanted to do something right.

I saw their relationship more as of brotherhood, bonding. Though they were different, they were alike in other ways, and they were an example of what true friendship is....

Anotehr reply.. sorry... hehe!

Just found out that Houses' theme song is actually Teardrops, by Massive Attack!

The song/video clip where I got the horror baby from for our collaborative project vid for Birth. One of the work girls said it is, she has it as a ringtone for her phone...

Hmm interesting.

I wish I could get into House - I love Hugh Laughrie... but you never know it could grow into me. I used to hate scrubs... but began watching it after Family Guy on telly. But I'm trying not to get addicted to long going series... -___- I'm only watching Smallville every now and then, I feel proud. I just want them to hurry up and finish the damn thing once and for all, so I can see how they think he becomes superman. Gargh.. damn addictions!!

Ahh you are watching Last Exile. Beautiful anime, but the ending sucks balls. So enjoy it while it lasts.

As for my love of Wolfwood and Vash as a pairing... well if you don't get it it'll forever remain a mystery. I can't justify it to you. I just love how well they get along. How Wolfwood can see through Vash so very well. How similar they are and yet they chose different paths. As you said, they are best friends even though they'd never admit it to each other. They love each other, although to what extent you and I can argue till the cows come home, lol!

I forgot to mention in the previous reply but I love Vash's thing about always smiling no matter how bad things get. There is a most beautiful scene in the manga that talks about it. I was crying when I first read it, lol! Smiling is Vash's default position because he no longer knows how he should be feeling or reacting. He's so tragic *fawns*

And .. I didn't know Teardrop was the theme for House MD O_o I'm weirded out now.

You should borrow the DVD's off Sam or Rowena and see if you can get into it or not. I hated House before I started watching it. I was prepared to hate it while watching it, and yet I ended up liking it. Maybe you'll like it too, who knows.

Aww Vash!!

I also think the reason he smiles is that he bears it, and still has that positive outlook that things will still turn out ok. Until towards then end, when he was in such a bad slump. But when Marril started walking towards the man with the gun, saying her point of view of life... which was somehow hers, and what she gotfrom Vash... I was almost crying, especially when he looked up at her and somehow found himself again...

And yes, I did love Woldwood and Vash together. Exactly as you said, they were so similar and yet they chose different paths. I think I just didn't like the path he chose - but in the end I loved that he indeed did do the right thing, and follow his own way.

And yes we probably could argue all we want. All I got was that of two brothers fighting... alot like Ed and Al did when they fought alot to hide their real feelings...

But if you wish to see it more than that, go right ahead... jus as long as you don't beging writing slash stories with them, and so on. :P

Actually it was just the same with Vash and Marril. Marril would get angry and so on at Vash jus to hide her true feelings, and Vash would become all goofy to hide his own feelings...

I'm sorry, I liked them too better..
^_^ I still think it's the influence of Chi Chi and Goku from DBZ but I've always liked pairings like that.

And perhaps one day I shall borrow House dvds, but for now, I am going to see what this new show on channel seven is like, "Heroes". Mmmm mutant/super powers....
