...so, one more stroll. This will cover the last three months, and, despite the fact that, well, there are fewer genuine entries thanks to, y'know, football, I'll still have the top five of each month. And I will save December for later, since it's still going on. And now, here are the ones you should read again:
September
How to work through computer troubles...: This would be when my computer went haywire. I worked through it (off of my dad's laptop), and I didn't even miss a day! That's what I at least want to do until the end of this year; have an entry for every day. After that...we'll save that discussion for the year-ender...
The times, they are a-stayin' the same...: Well, gee, three months ago, I'm lamenting the same things that I'm lamenting now. The fact that the opposition isn't, y'know, opposing? And the simple fact that anyone who bought that "wait 'till September" nonsense is a moron...and probably believes "the surge is working" too...
An open letter to a man with power...: Harry didn't get the message. Yo, Harry! Wake up! You're facing a President that does not compromise! Don't even try. Go hard-line against him, and against his party, and force the stalemate. You're too busy looking like you're busy to note what you're being busy about is pissing off the people of this country.
Let's blow up this joint!...: Why a Beakman synopsis? Just to note that if you want to start from the beginning, this is the one to start at.
Sorry, you can't have that. It's mine...: Remember, kids, you are not bullet-proof. And it's when you start thinking you are and that these laws you're pushing for won't apply to you that you get into trouble. Haven't you ever seen those movies? When does the bad guy die? Less than ten seconds after he says "I AM A GOD!!!" Take note.
October
It got stupid...: Yeah. It's stupid that someone's trying to enforce a long-standing rule. OMG, I can't be a grammar Nazi! He's being a big meanie! ...the wrong stupidity got highlighted that day on
stupid_free...
OH-5: A little change...: The first of my entries trying to inspire any possible voters in Ohio's 5th district that read this thingy...I probably should've copied them to DKos, too...
Free-form! For your life...: This, I think, was my best free-form entry of the entire year. Your mileage may vary, but go read it again!
A few points of (lack of) power...: Well, the computer woes weren't over, unfortunately. The monitor dieded, and I had to go through a string of monitors before we got the little...er, big...beauty that I am currently writing on. Oh, and more on Ohio's 5th district.
Tricks and treats, odds and ends...: An update on the monitor, of course, but more importantly, yet another reason to talk about my second favorite subject (the first is me, of course!). And if you haven't guessed it by now, what the fuck have you been reading for the past year?
November
It might be a gamble, but I'm willin' to take it...: It's ironic. This rant on casinos in Ohio (and the lack thereof) was kick-started by the fact that there was a small-stakes poker tournament (which I've gone to in the past) that I was going to go to...and I ended up not going. Oh well.
Takin' the 5th...: No, I was not guarding against self-incrimination, I was yet again writing about my district and how much it would be to actually make it blue (which ended up not happening, unfortunately).
On strikes and boycotts...: The strike: The WGA strike, and what it's about. The boycott: Mine vs. F*X, which may be faltering because of a certain someone's guest appearance. And if you haven't guessed who by now, and didn't get the first hint...I don't know what to say. Also, a final line that foreshadowed...
All the Magic is gone...: ...this entry, in which I once again go emo over the lack of a Magic scene near where I live. Again, I'm not going an hour out of my way just to play a frickin' game. At least, not unless I'm actually getting paid for it...
Play 'em off...: ...and one more rant for a playoff in college football. If this season does not at least grease the wheels for such a system, than nothing ever will.
So, that's the year in this bozo's nutshell. Go back and read all the goodness, and I'll see ya tomorrow!
