Tasty Tuesday

Totally forgot to take photos, but I made lemonade scones. I like this version of scones because it's less dry and flour-y than regular scones.

Here's the recipe if you want to try them. I won't include a photo of mine because mine got a bit burnt (temperature of the oven was a touch high because mum had just used it to make a roast).

Lemonade Scones (makes 13 of ~3 cm diameter)
300 g (2 cups) self raising flour
55 g (1 / 4 cup) caster sugar
125 mL (1 / 2 cup) cream
125 mL (1 / 2 cup) lemonade
40 mL (2 tablespoons) milk

Knead flour, sugar, 1 / 2 teaspoon of salt, cream and lemonade.
Roll out over a floured surface (~2 cm thickness).
Cut with a cutter & brush with milk.
Bake at 220 degrees Celsius for 10 - 15 minutes, fan on.

I've found that you might need to add a bit more flour. Though if you find the dough a bit too dry, add a bit of milk :)
Also, you should bake for 10 minutes first, then check  with a skewer to see if it's cooked all the way through, though it doesn't matter too much since there are no raw ingredients in this.

Next week I'm going to try strawberry & cream biscuits, so stay tuned!

'Til next time my nerd-migos

xoxo
