Got the new Lime Crime eyeliner, just in black because I'm conservative that way :P I'm not too confident that I could pull off one of the other colours yet...for now, I'm happy with the black, because it is difficult to find a good black eyeliner that's easy to apply and stays on.

I've also really been getting obsessed with facial cleansers and the like. Now, before you get all judgemental, I am well aware of the crap that beauty companies advertise on their products and the fact that it is very loosely regulated. I have very temperamental combination skin that gets terribly dry during Winter, oily in Summer and I break out when I'm stressed, tired or in weird weather (i.e. ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME IN MELBOURNE!!! #rageragerage). So anyway, I'm on the pill for my skin which is the most amazing thing ever. Little to no side effects and my skin is clear and relatively problem-free during times on relaxation and non-stress. I've also found that keeping my skin clean and well-hydrated has definitely helped prevent breakouts (which I still get occasionally if I've had make up on for too long or I'm overly stressed or tired). Also, since my skin tends to get very dry, very easily, I can't use products like Proactiv or Clearasil because they make my skin super super dry and no amount of moisturiser works.
Anyway, after that little rant, I use a foaming cleanser for acne-prone skin (once or twice a week) from a Korean brand called
The Face Shop since it suits my skin tone, and for a more general every day cleanser, I use a foaming cleanser by Olay. It doesn't dry out my skin and leaves it feeling very nice and soft afterwards. I've also started using toner in the morning and at night. I've found that if I don't have time to do a proper cleanse in the morning, it helps prevents breakouts whilst I'm wearing make up all day. You might ask, why do I bother wearing make up? To be fair, I only wear the lightest layer of foundation just to even out my skin tone, eyeliner & mascara (mascara only if I have time) and lipstick if I feel like it. When I go out for a party it's pretty much the same, just adding on eyeshadow (I am crazy obsessed with glittery eye make up, next on my list is to find a long wearing glittery eyeliner). Anyway, foundation isn't fantastic for your skin, so I do moisturise and wear a make up primer to protect my skin as much as I can, and in Summer I tend to just use moisturiser with sunscreen (SPF 15) plus facial sunscreen (SPF 30) and bring along a compact, because I cannot stand that face-shiny-ness. I also need to invest in some waterproof & smudge-proof eyeliner & mascara for Summer, but I'll think of that when Summer comes :P
Oh...I just realised I've gone completely off-track. What my original train of thought was that I have been getting really into facial masks. I got this amazing one from Clarins. It was a bit pricey, but after already having used it twice and seeing how little I actually use in one go, it will definitely last me a long time. Also, my face feel AMAZING not only after, but the following day as well! Even after I do my usual cleansing and make-up routine!! I went out shopping today as well and got some facial masks of the cloth variety from The Face Shop. I have yet to try them but I have used masks from there before and I did quite like them. They are inexpensive and fun to use, so it's a little extra splurge since I have finished exams now :)
Anyway, I need to clean my room because it's annoying me how messy it is at the moment. I shall post a fave five tomorrow! so that's something to look forward to.
