wheee! one more night of sleepy hollow!!! but will it feel good to strike the set & see it gone? or will i be sad? non lo so... forse tutte le due contemporaneamente. yesterday rand bought a niiiiiiice digital SLR camera. *lusts* he says i can use it anytime i want, but he won't let me take it to italy. :( boo. i'm gonna photograph tonight's show & get some better shots of the set... & stuff. yay.
& tonight, the afterparty, yay!
the animakids came over last night to brainstorm & storyboard. i love that there is no distinction between 'work' & 'party' here. we were fairly wasted by the time we called it a night- around 1:30. but we got a lot done... we now have firm, clear ideas for all but 2 songs... i gotta paint that mural in the basement this week so that they can finish shooting for the 'carrot wheel' song while i'm in italy. i'm still trying to get a clip of that...
& then there's a song called 'pickles'- it's sweet & romantic & almost tongue-in-cheek about it... so we're going to make a video featuring an interracial sockpuppet couple doing various romantic, coupley things together. should be fairly hilarious.
in other news, i've got old friends coming out of the woodwork now. it started w/ JP 2 weeks ago, e poi 3 giorni fa, i got an email from one of my best friends from junior high. i haven't seen her since maybe 1999, 2000? she lives in northern california, *luvs* to my hippiechic mel. yesterday, mary, who i knew in 2000-2002 in atlanta called me (left a message). she's in seattle now. & today, another girl that i hung out w/ back in the early 90's contacted me via email- to be fair, she knows hippie mel & got my address from her... but still, is this not at least mildly freaky?!
