behold my rock-n-roll lifestyle. here it is again, teh wee hours o' teh morn, & i am a-winding down via braindump di LJ. aaaaaaand tipsy. but hey, don't judge me- this is official Party Season, & i have much to celebrate. life is good. i'm glad i've come outta my 3-day funk o' darkness now... it's nice here in the light... *spins around a bit*
anywho... i saw the sunrise this morning- unintentionally, i assure you. i was kept awake all night by fiesty cats & randy roommates, damn them. so i slept 'till noon, & i never really feel good about myself when i do that. then i worked all afternoon, secretly hoping JP would return my drunk-dialed call from 2:00 AM, but he did not. he seems to have a rather active social life...
comunque, at the appointed hour, i trotted myself down to teh appointed place for not one, but TWO performances of our favorite multimedia spettacolo. *shakes off the ooky* 'twas a bit hellacious. we sold out. i had to turn people away- but fortunately most of them came back for the 9:00 show. and since we had different speakers for the sound system tonight, they overloaded the circuits during the opening film scene= blackout. *headdesks self into a coma* BUT- the fabulous Diedrich Knickerbocker, our creepy-ass narrator, came out & ad libbed for the crowd while we rebooted. they loved him. but OMG, i was dying up on the hill. & then there was another whole fiasco involving the film crew, but i won't unleash that bitchitude upon you. indeed you are spared, my lucky readers... instead, have this: yes, there will be a DVD of the entire show. professionally recorded by professional recorders, even. release date TBA- qui nella mia LJ certemente. i'm thinking probably it'll be ready by next year's show at the very latest. ;)
& then there was the after party at everyone's favorite columbian pub, the red tub- currently featuring upon it's walls 19 paintings by yours truly, teh gatto. i met a poet, who told me that a poet friend of his wrote a poem (as a poet will sometimes do) about
this painting. i was absolutely flattered & floored. i have sent word to said poet, saying that i will trade a print of said painting for a copy of said poem... which shall then be posted on said website & mentioned in said LJ. i look forward to that. i love poems having to do w/ me. *snerk*
m'kay, well i could go on & on about even more of i particolari della mia vita, but probably you are tired of scrolling by now. so onward, ho!
& gatto out.
