the egg

so first thing...this probably isn't very entertaining, but it's just the way we are. so dani and i was sitting in her apartment not really doing anything and she's like, what do you think happens to an egg when you put it in the microwave? and i told her that i thought it explodes, but that id never done it before so i really didn't know. so after a moment or so, we decide to do it. first we set the thing for thirty seconds and we just stand there in front of the microwave staring at it as pretty much nothing happens. the timer goes off and dani goes to get the egg and she says it's hot, so we decide to put it in for longer. we start it up again and then after about thirty more seconds go by it starts to smell. as soon as dani comments on that it finally explodes and we both kind of flip out. for whatever reason and dani isn't really even sure what it is, she's afraid to turn to microwave off so it cooks for a little while longer and then she finally turns it off while im just laughing in the other room trying to stay away from the smell. she insists that i come and look at it though because it's just a bunch of cooked egg all over the inside of the microwave. we laugh about it a bit more because we realize how dumb we were for even considering that and she cleans out the microwave while i try to spray the room to stop it from smelling. once it was cleaned out we microwaved some baking soda in there and it seemed to get rid of the smell, unless of course removing the egg got rid of it. and all while we're doing this, dani's mom is sleeping in the other room and i'd never met her before so as soon as dani leaves to take the trash out to get rid of the egg, her mom comes into the room. it was pretty funny, but her mom couldn't smell any egg so we much have done a good job of cleaning it up. then when rick got back and we decided to tell him about it he kind of laughed at us, but he was the one who microwaved a cd. anyway, what i find most amusing is the fact that later dani finally tells me that at the time we were microwaving the egg, she didn't feel like we were being dumbasses. she felt like we were mythbusters. haha seriously. it was only afterwards that she realized we were most definitely not. [maybe one day ill tell you about our gorgeous pet box...]

more about the other thing later...i wanna write something, but i don't want to upset myself while im trying to go to sleep
