It’s Matsumoto Jun and Sakurai Sho who come to the dusk autumn sea. Their talk about men’s friendship is so passionate that seems to blow the clouds off the sky.
松本 : about men’s friendship, even though we get along well but not necessarily to keep in touch all the time, right? for now, I’m still in good terms with my high-school friends.. we share the same personality or the same favourite ramen.. they are people who are similar to me. Like both of us that we went to see “Green Mile” movie the other day. We’re worn out of crying over it, and that’s fine.. and because our houses are not too far, we studied together during exam.. yesterday, we got to read comics together at café then we went home and normally enjoyed sukiyaki
桜井 : yeah that’s how ordinary it is.. (laughs) and I got also some close friends since my primary school days.. we haven’t hung out together yet for 1-2 months but nothing’s changed.. and my phone conversation with friends will not last more than 1 minute since I hate talking by phone. For me it’s essential to see companion’s face while communicating..
松本 : there’s another one among member that normally hangs out with Sho-kun so three of us go out together sometimes.. but the (Arashi) member’s relationship is actually out of this world, I suppose.
桜井 : yep.. it doesn’t stop just with friendship but it’s also about affection.. not just a co-worker but deeper than that..
松本 : definitely.. and among members, Sho-kun was the only one who mailed me on my birthday perhaps..
桜井 : you see that birthday is crucial in someone’s life that happens just once in a year.. and I’m often puzzled of what to give as present.. whether or not it’s something they’re happy to receive. Lately, I realize that I’m a bossy type of person while at home but cover it up well in front of other people at work.. so people won’t be able to get along with me if they’re not able to take me the way I am.. Bukki (Satoshi Tsumabuki)and I have been good friends since we starred together in drama. But I guess, either school or work days it was actually impossible if it’s just in short time.. I need enough time to be friend with someone..
松本 : but if it’s me.. in shooting of drama, I won’t be able to meet up anyone else beside drama’s crew due to long and tight schedule and it makes me long for my school friends or people from my hometown.. taking a good rest is important but socializing with friends is important as well. instead of sleeping, I will just end up going out.. One day, a friend of mine is having birthday and I still had to finish shooting until midnight but after that then I got to my friend’s house. Or I just move along with some friends’ quarrel which is good sometimes because it can reduce stress somehow..
桜井 : two or three months after our debut, I couldn’t see any of my friends because of the hectic schedule. After much later, my friends told me that debut might take me far from home but they would be very happy if we could stay friend as ever and I’m so happy with that too..
松本 : yeah, simple thing that can make us hugely grateful is friendship.. that’s why it has special place in my heart..
桜井 : friendship is like a remedy for me.. it lifts me up everytime I feel down..
松本 : so it’s true if no man can live alone.. friends are treasure..!!
