Day Four: We are stinky and cannot sit down to eat PIkachu
Today was a good day. We got up at nine and went down to breakfast. Ate, meh, whatever. Came back to the and lounged around, snored a little, watched tv, the normal. Snacked a bit if I recall. Then we headed out to the post office to mail some birthday presents. We had NO IDEA what to do from there but we were already on the mainland so we sat in the car and discussed. We asked the magic 8 ball, AKA pigwidgen, AKA Holly's GPS to find out what was in the area. We found out there was a "Gallery of Lovely Things". Just like that. We were like HECK YES! So we drove there.
As it turns out, such a place doesn't exist, sadly, so we parked the car and wandered all over this odd downtown Pensacola area. We started off taking pictures of silly signs and pretty churches and such. We found a strip of cute shops that we looked around. We got awesome Greek food for lunch. We wandered a bit more through the streets, and got back into Hedw1g, and went to get pedicures. There were only three people working, so Holly Katie and Darcy got their nails done first, and I just chilled in the warm water and texted people. once they were all done, drying, I was just getting started so they had to wait but it's ok. Got mine done bright blue with glitter. Darcy says it looks like sports car paint. I like it a lot. From there we got tasty tasty smoothies and headed back to the room.
More hanging around from there, various napping, etc. Something on TV inspired me to get Italian food, so we got REAL pretty in our dresses, got all made up, straightened hair and everything. We then hopped back in Hedw1g, shook the magic eight ball (GPS), and found a quaint little local Italian restaurant. We followed the GPS as it wound us into a dark residential neighborhood and said "turn left to destination" into a big plot of woods. We were...... so confused. WTF!? Apparently this restaurant = a bunch of trees. We got a good laugh out of that. We shook the 8 ball again and found a chain Italian place on a main drag and went there. It was very nice! Good food, great dessert, lots of laughs, and Holly and I ordered something that we couldn't pronounce but it looked like "pikachu" so that's what we called it. We got a big old chocolatey dessert, then came home.
Changed into some more comfy clothes, and wandered back to the beach for another night walk. We stood in the water and took some REALLY awful pictures and laughed until we almost passed out. It was so funny. We walked up and down for a while, then headed back up to the boardwalk. Moseyed around, wandered back to the room and here we are!
I hope I didn't forget anything... If I did I'll write about it later.
Long day, lots of fun, very chill and making choices on the fly. I like it.
More later, Only plans for tomorrow include beach in the afternoon and seafood for dinner.
