Posting by email (trying it out again)

I posted some of this to my Yahoo lists, and figured I'd try it out on LJ
too! Let's see what happens. I'm curious to see if my italics or LJ-Cut turn
out, as well as the Smileys!

First off, the post I like to call Murder, Mayhem, Snow, Royals...and
Master Command!

Yep...all over the place this morning!

Good morning, afternoon and evening! Just got home from work a little while
ago, and of course since it was snowing and the wind chill was about 20 F, and
it was my first night back to work after my two off nights -- we had another
murder! And of course it was outside! We were only out on the scene about
two hours, but when you feel like you're going around the Horn with the wind
whipping in your eyes and your toes going numb, it feels like you're out there
a whole lot longer.

In other news:

We may get about 4 inches of snow this afternoon. Considering some of you
have gotten four feet or more, our accumulation would be nothing.

In other news:

Guess who's coming to Louisville in early May...quite possibly for our
Kentucky Derby? And no, they don't have an Aussie accent and they didn't win an
Oscar for Gladiator. Queen Elizabeth II is going to pay our city a visit. She
hasn't been here since the early Seventies, and we don't know if she's coming
for specifically the Derby or for other reasons, but the local news has
announced that the Secret Service is coming soon to coordinate security with our
police department. Like we don't already have enough to worry about for Derby.

And finally, in horsey news:

Was listening to a local horse racing show on my way home from work this
morning...and I heard about a win from a horse named Master Command! So you just
knew I had to look him up. Here's the most recent news on him, from The
Thoroughbred Times:

Handicap.aspx) . He sounds lovely!

That's it then lab rats. I have to work tonight so this is going to be one
of those days that feels very short. Catch you all later!

Tina

And then, there's this possibility for a Russell movie project!

(http://au.news.yahoo.com/070216/2/12g0s.html) Now that's in addition to the rumors about
the Nottingham movie in which he'd play a reworked Sheriff of Nottingham! I
just hope none of them go the way of *sigh* Eucalyptus.
