Here comes the great news, though...They just issued a "special advisory" on Hurricane Ivan, which is like a gazillion miles from anything, and it's winds are already at 115mph - meaning that it has a half ocean to strengthen more. And in even greater news...The "cone of error" for that fucker brings it pretty much right over South Florida, according to the National Hurricane Center. What the hell, Mother Nature? Seriously.
My parents have already decided they aren't taking all of the shutters down until they know exactly where Ivan is heading, so hooray for more darkness. UGH!
