[translation] TV Fan May 2016 - They Budou

Apr 10, 2016 07:58

In "Johnny's Ginza", starting 29 April, They Budou's independent 5 shows from 24~26 May have been announced. It's your 3rd year having shows by yourselves, so are your preparations going smoothly?

Eda: I think it'll be fun.
Yamamoto: We've already finished most of the choreography too...
Eda: You haven't even done one song, have you?!
Yamamoto: But isn't it fast this time? We decided the content smoothly. We put forward songs we each wanted to do, and said "That's nice! Let's do it" What's left is to discuss what kind of image we want it to have among the three of us.
Hayashi: Because we each already have this kind of trust like "If he says so".
Eda: Just like last year, we have a theme too. It's a completely different kind of feeling, right?
Hayashi: Yamamoto's thinking of all of the choreography.
Yamamoto: No, no, no! There are parts where we're all thinking it up, right? (laughs)
Hayashi: We were saved because Eda-chan knows a lot of songs. The first time, we threw everything to Eda-chan, right?
Eda: The first time, yeah (laughs).
Hayashi: We decided on the theme, and put on paper what kind of scenes we want to do, and then because Eda-chan knows different songs, we said "Eda-chan,  put songs that apply in here" (laughs).
Yamamoto: Was it like that?
Hayashi: Sometimes we coincidentally thought up the same things as Eda-chan.
Eda: Coincidentally.
Hayashi: When it came to talking about what would be good next, if I said "Right now, I'm thinking this sort of thing", it's like "Eh? I thought that too" (laughs).
Yamamoto: That's amazing! Which means, it was completely coincidental?
Eda: That's why we've been saying "coincidentally", right? (laughs)

The They Budou "Johnny's Ginza" shows are so polished, I also have the impression that the setlist and lyrics have a meaning too.

Hayashi: But, to be honest, that's coincidental (laughs).
Eda: Honestly, it's coincidental (laughs).
Yamamoto: Coincidence and coincidence overlap, right!
Eda: We all kind of read too much into the meaning of the lyrics, though.
Yamamoto: But, we think of the choreography and direction and stuff while thinking of the meaning of the lyrics.
Eda: Well, that means that the concept flows out more naturally than any of us thought.
Yamamoto: That makes me embarrassed~!
Eda: But I think there's a stronger colour in this year's one, compared to last year's.
Hayashi: Last year we had a concept of "aeroplane", but it was quite difficult to find songs that expressed that. But this year, we're able to match evrything from start to finish to one theme.
Eda: The top batter for solos is Yamamoto-san this year too (laughs).
Yamamoto: It's just because you don't want to yourself, right?
Eda: Because, it's already standard practice (laughs).
Yamamoto: You made it standard practice yourself!
Eda: If his solo doesn't start, our Crea show doesn't start.
Yamamoto: Well, it'll be fun.
Hayashi: Yeah!
Yamamoto: Definitely. I have confidence! If we keep this up, we'll end up going on tour.
Eda: Because that's what we're aiming for.
Yamamoto: Really, seriously.

What about "Nanairo no sora e" [To the seven coloured sky], with music and lyrics by Eda-san that you showcased last year?

Eda: We have plans to do it this year too.
Hayashi: We hope to improve it a bit too, right?
Eda: That's right. I made a few songs fitting the theme this time, too, but rather than completing them I started thinking that it's better to give "Nanairo~" a more proper shape.
Yamamoto: But I heard a rumour that that song's going to become a CD?
Eda: Hahaha!
Hayashi: That's not true! If it was, that'd be called a debut!
Yamamoto: Ah~ Is that right? (laughs)
Eda: Then after the song shall we make our own record company? (laughs)
Yamamoto: Let's make They Records!

Before "Johnny's Ginza", Hayashi-san has "Takizawa Kabuki", right?

Yamamoto: Kabuki!
Eda: Do your best! In any case, Hayashi-san has to catch a lot of fans' hearts with "Takizawa Kabuki".
Yamamoto: I want you to do your best, seriously.
Hayashi: I think I'll be able to take away something from this.
Eda: They Budou's Hayashi Sho...ta.
Yamamoto: Eh, what? Did you fumble over your words? On the name of one of our members (laughs).
Eda: I think you should try and get "They Budou's Hayashi Shota" out there as much as possible at Shimbashi Enbujou.
Hayashi: Right, that's true. I'll do my best.
Eda: I'm looking forward to watching it too. We've never been on the viewing side of Sho-chan, have we?
Hayashi: Oh yeah, you haven't!
Yamamoto: Keep looking forward to the They Budou overflowing with confidence!
