Sweet freedom

I turned in my last final paper on friday, woot! I'm not sure it was very good, after starting it on Thursday (and it was a 10 page paper...). And then I had a little fiasco where I worked on my paper for 3 hours on Friday afternoon and I had apparently been saving to a temporary file the ENTIRE time. So that was naturally awesome. I figured this out 1 hour before the paper was due. sweet. But I think I remembered everything I had written--it didn't sound as good the second time, but I guess that will happen.

It's been really awesome remembering what it feels like to be a human being. For example, yesterday I went to the gym. Insane. I haven't had time to work out in over a month. And I'm going back to the gym today. Tonight I'm also making cookies with Esther, Alison and Chris and going shopping with Janelle. These all sound like simple things if you're used to having a life, but it's all pretty exciting right now.

In other news, Kristen and Derek were finally able to come down from Indy to visit. It was good to see them. They kind of had poor timing in the way that I was still a little under the weather from intense celebrations from the night before and both parties we went to cleared out kinda early. I guess everyone had to go home and study. But I think they had a good time. It sounds like they're feeling a little isolated up in Indy, not really having any friends and living in what I refer to as "real" Indiana. I think I'm going to go up and stay with them some time next week or so, since I'm stuck down here until Christmas day. Yes, my job sucks.
