Monday: First day of classes.

Math: I have a hippy male teacher...he's pretty cool. The course seems alright, not too easy, not too hard. considering i hate math. I recognized one person in the class (a fellow music ed major), she's kinda flaky though. She then made me RUN to my next class. (only have 10 minutes to run cross campus. and then she sat on the opposite side of the room.
Harmony: Dr Cinamon (head of the music dept) is my teacher. he's not terrible on the first day, pleasant, corny funny...i recognized a lot of people, but the class is definitely going to be hard for me and its going to suck big time. Then I ask my friend Alex what he has next, he saves me because he also has psych and tells me that our classroom was moved. (thank g-d i asked him or i wouldve missed the class)
Psych: its a large class and the teacher is a young guy. i just finished the pages we had to read in the first book...it's kinda boring but our discussions seem interesting. we have to write 5 2-page papers. We read 3 books so we have to devote at least one paper to each then we have 2 more to devote to whichever books we please. Only catch is we have to hand in papers on a certain book before moving onto the next one, and he will not accept 2 papers in one week. (yes that's two catches.) Plus he let us out 50  minutes early, SCORE!
I saw alisha while waiting for eartraining, made me happy!!!
Eartraining: same teacher as i had for fundamentals. sightreading is fine, but melodic dictations...TEN times faster than what partridge did, im kinda screwed. vanbrink looked damn good thougn, he got tan. (yes i think my teacher is cute. haha) Of course two girls i used to be friendly with just keep getting jappier and jappier...sometimes u wanna say grow up, we graduated HS remember? yeah...en i was done.
Then i hear we have to audition for chorale THAT day or the next day..so obviously i signed up for tuesday. i got pounded with homework so i spent the rest of my night doing work.

Tuesday:

English: 8 AM class...its in a computer lab..the woman is ancient and kind of a bitch and REALLY boring. It's SO friggin hard to stay awake. I feel like this class will be hard. I recognized one music major (who is now an audio/visual major) and i made friends with a girl (commuter) while taking the elevator down after the class.
I had a break in between piano...of course too much ADD to take advantage
Piano: It was nice to see prof. abrams again, ive moved from one of the weaker ones to one of the "adv" ones. im excited. we got auld lang syne...the chords in the left hand are really hard to play.
Then i JETTED to my chorale audition, it was at 11:10 and its only 10 minutes long.
Audition: Still out of breath i started my song "Alma del core" it was okay, had trouble controlling my breathe.....but i did my best. then i did excercises to show my range up and dowan (while going lower i was really flat. i was so nervous) echo backs were okay and my sightreading rocked! i conducted and i got  re down to la skip!!!!
Then i went home and came back and had dinner with rose and her roommates boyfriend in the student center.......then headed to Student Govt with jen. It looks fun. it ran 2 hours and i have to do a bunch of things to get into it..but seems cool.

Today:

Math: i went to the board today! i was so smart. it was fun
Harmony: i had trouble keeping up but i sat in between alex and this guy jacob (very nice.) and i made them laugh a lot. cinamon was mean and told me i couldnt draw my little pianos on the page...so sad...there goes my crutch and my 3.45 gpa.
Common hour: i went with alisha and marisa (craigs g.f. who just transfered to hofstra) to NAB so alisha could tell fryling she was dropping chorale...we go and josephine is auditioning for chorale. then she comes out and says she made it! fryling sees me and he told me i made it too!!!! I MADE IT INTO CHORALEEE!!! yay for being with people who are dedicated and for not having to be in chorus until 10:15 at night.
then we went to lunch at bits and bites and i got signatures for SGA.
Eartraining: it was good today, again melodic dictation bites.
Break: i had 45 minutes before chorale so i spoke with mitch mccarthy, hes a nice guy
Chorale: very challening but amazing, i am very excited to sing in the garden city cathedral.
Then i came back home, practiced piano, took my brother to the diner for dinner, then home did some psych reading and then off to hofstra for v monologues production meeting. more details about that in the next entry.

now? i watched the top chef finale...YAY ILAN! but now i gotta go..i only have one class but its from 8-9:25 (english..yucky)

adios.
