One year ago Saturday (couldn't post this then seeing as I was out of town), I decided to give myself a reading list so I could expand my reading horizons and become less pigeon-holed.
This year I read 40 books. Well, 39, but I got through 600 of the 800 pages of Anna Karenina, so I think that counts as a book!
Anyway, I learned something about my taste in books that I never really thought I would. I assumed that by reading classics and things I normally wouldn't pick up, that I would find a new-found love for a different genre. I was wrong. I love the same types of books as I did before. Romance, Mystery/Suspence, YA Fantasy and Chick Lit. I can appreciate other genres, but I don't generally love them.
So this past year has made me more well-rounded, which I do like, but it also made me realize that since I'm not school and don't have assigned homework, I should just read what I like to read.
Here is my
