(no subject)
what's funny is that i read my friends page on livejournal usually atleast once a day but i have been putting making a post for quite some time. well here goes....
good:
-moving up to san jose has been pretty awesome. i finally figured out how to set my parents tivo so now i can watch roller girls and meet the barkers when ever i want. it rules.
-i am in training to be a BAD (bay area derby) girl. roller derby practice is twice a week up in oakland (the drive sucks) but i made a new friend and we carpool. she has heated seats...which rules after practice when our butts are sore from falling down. instead of giving her gas money i pay her in beer...that also rules.
-the bad girls had their first bout of the season last weekend. miss tiffany was my date and it was an interesting experience. i had to volunteer for an hour and a half pouring beer as part of my paying dues to the team. plus i had to volunteer so i could get in for free and tiffany could use the ticket i bought (the bout was sold out.....that's over 1000 freaking tickets!!! woo hoo!!!).
bad:
-for the past week i have been doing cross training at my work. so i get to be a counselor at the lock down facility in santa cruz (i'm a mental health counselor). the clients are WAY from acute and are harder to deal with. i really don't like it over there but whatever....i only have a few more days to go and then i get to go back to my regular facility.
-i'm a commuting whore!!!! i have to drive to santa cruz 5 days a week from san jose and then i have to be up in oakland 2 days a week. i have really long days and i'm usually too tired to want to do much on my days off.....well except drink rum drinks out of pineapples and sit in mark's hot tub!
