I've been in the choral library for the past 4 hours, and I have 1 more to go. I started off extremely productive. I even neglected to prop the door open like I normally do, to discourage visitors. Then, I printed up a statement of intent for the choir tour, and put away all the music that was on my desk. We're talking 1000s of copies of music. All gone! In their rightful homes. I even found the lost copies of Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! as arranged by choral hero Kirby Shaw. They were, of course, shoved between copies of properly filed music. Way to go, Lesley! But it's okay. Fixing other people's mistakes is my forte. All the while, I've been listening to Mozart's Requiem on repeat. I can't stand listening to the idiot brass players in the practice rooms outside my office, so I need to listen to something else to drown them out. But I'm worried Mr. Shafer will disapprove of most of my musical tastes, so Mozart. Then, wouldnt' you know it, Mr. Shafer came into the office last week and told me my recording of Mozart's Requiem is awful. Can I win? I submit that I cannot.
But I just ran out of steam big time. So I decided to post a journal entry. And I noticed that nobody ever posts anymore except for Micah. And even he hasn't posted in a while. So, does that mean nobody reads my journal? Does it matter? No. As long as this journal continues to waste precious time that could be spent working, I will continue to post.
So, Chris is coming to visit me next week. For real. It's been 8 months since I've seen him. I'm mega excited. Maybe the sky will break while he's here and he won't be able to fly back.
This weekend is my wedding date. I mean, not the date of my wedding, someone else's wedding to which I have a date. I've decided I definitely don't want to pursue a relationship with Aaron. Partly because I don't trust anybody right now, and party because he really doesn't like scary movies. Which is a total downer and a red flag. I mean, that fact alone wouldn't make or break my decision to date someone, but I really really love scary movies!
Note: Not all brass players are idiots. Just the ones in the practice rooms outside my office....and my ex-boyfriend.
