Work update!
Today was SOOOO much better than the past few weeks.
I had made up my mind to do what had to be done this week, even if I ended up with bleeding hands and 20 hours overtime. That resigning of my will to what I needed to do really did something for my motivation. I knew I wanted to do a good job and so I just determined to make it so.
Then I was talking to my hubby about it this morning. He's SUCH a MacGuyver...I mean, there aren't even words. He asked me to tell him some of the things that were required of me in this project, then gave me three random items to take with me with some bizarre instructions. I won't go into detail, but it worked like a charm! I did my route including the hellishly difficult project in less than 9 hours and with a smile on my face. And no bleeding hands. Very little pain at all today. It helps that it wasn't cold today, too. :)
Anyhow, it pays to listen to Bryan.
AND then I was talking to my boss on the phone and found out that the gentle reminder emails that went out had nothing whatsoever to do with me. It was two of the men who had screwed up. He hadn't found anything objectionable at any of my machines.
So yeah, I'm having a much better day.
Thanks, everyone, for all the encouragement yesterday. I found out my boss is definitely on the case and I should lose the machines I want to unload very soon! *does happy dance*
Now if I could just become independently wealthy, get pregnant and have enough time to go back to school to finish my degree...
