i saw your post at t_shirt_surgery and i just wanted to tell you, as an aspiring fashion designer, you really inspired me to actually get off my lazy ass and put my sewing machine i bought 2 years ago to good use already. thanks for that. you are beyond awesome

I'm so happy to hear that i've inspired you! that's the greatest compliment I can get, really. Isn't hipsterdate hilarious? It was the funnest thing to do, some of the callers we got were really amazing. I dont know what happened to the audio, we used to have it up there but i guess free players have their limits
( ... )
PS I forgot to mention this, but next next september, my prof was telling me that they were going to offer a new program at york that joins FACS and computer science... that sounds like a dream program to me, with creativity + practicality, so if that's ever an option for you!
wow thank you soo much. you're super super helpful with all this info! i'm still undecided but it's always good to get 2 cents from people with first hand experiences.
and that's freeeeakin amazing! seriously?! you just skipped like 10 steps of walking over/slaving for people as a fashion designer. i hope you get compensated well because they sure hike their prices at urban. i will def. be looking out for it!
ahahah for the sandals, you totally got me. more specific pretty pleease? is it near the dragon centre thing across from td bank. or where is it beside. i think i'm gonna need to bring my chinese friend with me, last time i tried to find something in pacific mall alone i went home with a haircut i did not want lol.
oh man. i know what you mean about haircuts that make you want to cry at chinese malls. it's really scary when you say something and then they nod, so you assume they understand, but really...not. That's happened to me a couple of times. I should really learn by now but i'm lured in by the low prices and the cute pictures, and all the other happy looking customers who are probably happy because of the no communication barrier thing.
Hmm, it's not by dragon centre, its more close to the other mall, the Chinatown centre. But closer to Chinatown Centre than the Dragon Centre, closer to Queen than Dundas. I really do forget the name of the store though, I think it's a Chinese name (if that helps any!) In Shoes though, is closer to dragon centre, and they've got pretty decent selection sometimes too.
Compensation isn't much to brag about, but the exposure is what i'm really excited about! yay!
