Another little girl with stars in your eyes
1. Advanced Writing has too many people in it, including a bunch from Creative Nonfiction. I don't want to know how many people are in that class just because of Fred...sucks. I mean, I like writing, and I can turn out a mean academic paper, so I figured it'd be fun regardless. Guess I just wasn't expecting there to be so many. But I did like the little writing assignment he gave us in class. I like to have fun with them...and a couple of us got our portfolios back from him afterwards, from Creative Nonfiction last semester. I'm proud of mine, damnit. I want to keep it (but Fred kept the 'letters.' Awkward, I think mine was just awful).
2. Astronomy lab. Professor is crazy. Exquisitely. But I sat with a girl I sort of know, she's said hi to me in the hallways. I think we know each other from random sightings at "Rocky Horror." And me + scientific notation standard form = *cringes* On the plus side, since we finished our work, that girl and I got out an hour and a half early. Bwahahaha.
3. Phoenix meeting tomorrow. Considering how many people are doing the practicum this semester, it ought to be really interesting. We shall see. I'm excited, though...plus there's the whole Portland thing...omgnewspapers. Are love.
4. Not all that keen on going to work tonight. I know we only have, like, four people, so it had better be all dead quiet and boring. And dear God, I hope Rose isn't on for manager. I'm really not in the mood for that tonight.
5. Dad finally, finally called back last night. I think that was the first time I'd talked to him since the day I left California -- what, the ninth? Tragic.
6. I'm kind of grateful that I get to be busy again. I like having things to do, and I guess it's early enough in the semester (day two! Woo!) that I don't hate everyone and everything yet...I graduate this semester. I'll be transferring off. Scary thought.
