Th week

The other night I went to the movies with Jenner to see 'White Chicks' it was quite funny. We were the only ones in the cinema, haha. That's only happened to me once before. On Wednesday I went for a one hour walk around the extended block which was really good. Thursday I had lunch with mom, Diane and Andrew at Browsers cafe. I've also been working a bit this week:)

I had my first lesson in three months yesterday!

I've been riding for over 4 and a half years and have had weekly lessons, up until July when my course finished. For the past three months I've just been having fun and riding without an instructor. Anyway, today Jean Harris gave Sarah and I a one hour lesson, well it actually went longer and it always does with her which is fine with me! We rode out in the paddock. Most of the lesson was in walk without stirrups. Jean is so critical (she said that herself) but that's what makes her such a great instructor because I always know what I need to work on. She said I look great on Fudge<3 I love hearing things like that. She also said I should probably see an oesteopath because my back is making my seat crooked. My left shoulder is higher than my right. She made us do 'the splits' for a while then knees up on the pommel for a while. If you do 10 minutes of that daily for years it will definately improve suppleness. yay! Today was a lot of fun, that lesson was great. I always come back in such a good mood from riding, especially when I learn things. I got Fudge bending so well to the left which I havn't done before it was amazing. What was even more amazing is Jean getting on Fudge though. She had Fudge working beautifully from the second she got on her, it was really amazing to watch! Cant wait till I get 50 years of riding experience under my belt (haha). Jean knows her stuff.

I sometimes wish that Fudge knew some of the things I do to or for her are for her own good!

For example, FLOAT BOOTS.

They're to protect her legs, which is obvious to me, but not to her. I put the front two on her and walked her for a bit, she went a little spastic, dancing around on the spot (it was really cute!). Then I tied her up and put one of the back ones on. Walked her around again and all she did was kick out. She ran around in circles and danced around. I walked a few large circles with her and she settled down. Again I tied her up and put the last boot on. Walked her round again and she kept kicking out with both back legs. She was even grazing and kicking one leg out. Danced some more and then I walked her round for a while. She had completely settled down which was great. This is the first time I've put float boots on her, and she actually didn't take too long to adjust.

I understand that when a horse isn't used to something and it's suddenly on them it can be a scary thing. That's why breaking in is taken slowly. That I completely and utterly get, I just wish I could let her know I'd never ever EVER hurt her!!

Mel on the radio is throwing up wine and chocolate, she sounds just like me!

If I go out tomorrow night I AM NOT GOING TO THROW UP!!!!

YAY SARAH AND I ARE GOING TO A SHOW ON LABOUR DAY<333
