I bought Ashley one of those Volkswagon new beetles tuesday...
Wednesday morning, I am on the phone with her while she drives to work, and while we are talking, she drives over a curb as she pulls into the parking lot at her work. No big deal? Think again. One of the rims is badly damaged, and the sharp edge now protruding from the wheel penetrates the tire. I skipped school and went to deal with that.
What a wonderful start to the day.
My regional sales manager was at the office today, but seeing my mood, he gave me a wide berth, which was nice. Aside from that, it was another day of people piling responsibilities onto my plate that I really don't have time for...if they're going to make me do all this managerial stuff, I really should get managerial pay....just throwing it out there. Hopefully things will ease off soon, another sales rep was interviewed yesterday, and he'll hopefully be starting in a couple weeks, so I'll finally have a little bit of time to finish writing the training manual and maybe, just maybe, get caught up on a month of stuff that's been on hold. Oy.
