breaking my back just to know your name...
sorry, this is just a random placeholder reminding myself to do some writing. I got books from one of my all-time favorite modern poets for Christmas, and another book from a poet I admire lyrically but also love to hate/anguish over, so I hope to spend some time in the near future gleaning some thoughts and inspiration from such opposite sides of my literary-interest spectrum.
In addition, I finally have a copy of one of my most beloved books, the "illustrated novel" Blankets, by Craig Thompson, and I hope re-reading that will inspire the kind of awe and creativity that it did the first go-round. I just need to find some time and the right mood, and then perhaps down a bottle of wine or so. I've been happy with some of my recent ramblings/writings, and I don't want to get into a slump again. Fingers crossed that a new burst will come soon.
