My Bloody Valentine: AWESOME. Some cap, but all around AWESOME. Jensen did good, yo. Apparently 3D means... the whole movie is in 3D. Which I've never done before, because the last time was Superman Returns and that was sporadic so. OMG. SO FUCKING COOL. On it's own, it's a decent horror film; not the best, but it's fun and gets the point: gore and scares. It's hard to compare it to the original since... well, it's kinda like a reimagining in terms of doing different plot stuff and in that note, I would've liked more scary non regulation bad lighting mines and creepy ass Valentine's Day junk/the dance, but it's fine with meee.

I knew going into it that Jensen was the killer (d'oh), though I wondered how they'd twist it over from Axel and... whoo, boy did a good job. I can see why he'd pick this part, which is a big coincidence in terms of recent SPN episodes with Dean! But the boy fucking nailed the psycho crazy routine -- just his facial expressions, that switch when you knew he lost it at the beginning, and then when he turned his head to Axel later, or his smirk when he gets out. Aaaawesome. (Also, loved the mirroring of actions between him and 'Harry' when he was in the locker/cage thing.)
When he started smashing out the lights at the end, and the miner was flickering? AGH. DEAD. Patrick Lussier, I forgive you for Dracula 2000. Even though I sekkritly love that movie because it gave me Gerard Butler having floating sex. You, sir, are a master. Good editing, too!
ETA: According to IMDB, Todd Farmer (the screenwriter) played Frank the trucker. Ha! I KNEW he looked familiar! That's cool that they gave him a part.

I heard the film looks crappy in 2D though. Hmm. I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN. Before it goes out of the theater!
The shocktilyoudrop.com still they released of Jensen -- the one with blood on the ceiling fan -- kinda... gave him away. Which also helped in figuring it out. OH, PROMOTION. PLEASE STOP BEING SO... give away-y.
