The weather today was awesome, it was like spring! I didn't have to wear a coat at all, and I even dispensed with my jumper sometimes. I decided to go out and treat myself. I got the shield back for my A-level Chemistry award, it had my name and the year I graduated, 2006, engraved on it. And the first thing I thought was "I can't wait to show mum!" ...Why. So that made me pretty depressed and I thought I'd indulge in some retail therapy.
I had to go to the train station to get some tickets for tomorrow anyways because I'm going to speak to university to speak to someone there. Instead of going home, I went on into town. First I stopped in Superdrug and bought some new lip gloss and eyeshadow, which were both rather nice. The lip gloss in the tube looks LIME green. But it just comes out clear and makes your lips look nice and luscious. I was pretty impressed by it (I looked so sad trying it out on my hand in the shop. I was like OMFG!!). Then I went clothes shopping. I found this really cute dress top, it was black at the top with straps that had little buttons fastening them down, and then there was a blue design on the dress and it had two little pockets and I was like I waaaaaant. But it was £20. BUUUUT I did find this other cute red top, for only... £4! And they had my size. So I was like I'll have that. I tried it on and it was really nice. It has like a scoop collar with little frills on it, and the sleeves are really short and kinda poofy with little frills on them.... it sounds awful when I describe it, but its soooo adorable.
On my way back I stopped by the Asda Electronics store (we have a normal Asda, and then a separate Asda for CDs and games and stuff. It's weird...) to see if they had some stuff I'd wanna buy. No music, but they had LOADS of DVDs going really cheap. So I picked up two films that people have told me are good, Serenity for £6 and V For Vendetta for £8. When I took them up to the till, the guy there looked at the V For Vendetta case and was like "Actually, you can get the special two disc version for £7" which I thought was odd, but decided to go for that instead. I was about to go find it when he went off and got me one for me from the shelves. So he saved me a shiny pound coin! Except... I paid with my debit card so I guess I didn't really get the coin. I started watching V For Vendetta when I got in, man it is SO cool. Although I doubt people in this country would ever stop celebrating Guy Fawke's Night. 5th November has always been a big thing here, we have bonfires and fireworks and stuff. In some places they still burn effigies (in Lewisham I think they do). However, the government seems to be really strict in this film so perhaps thats why. Either way its pretty damn cool so far! And Stephen Fry is in it, yay!
And thus my day came to an end. Or. The therapy session.
