So, two nights ago I stayed up til 2:00 looking at articles online about the Virginia Tech shootings and the victims. Last night I stayed up til past 2:00 writing an essay on Public Opinion regarding gun control. I'm not getting enough sleep.

It's just one thing after another. Paper after paper. Homework after homework. Reading after reading. It seems like this cycle will never stop or even slow down. I have a big paper to write by Monday for my Islam in India class, and a teaching to do for Monday night. Compared to teachings, papers aren't really a big deal at all. Teachings, especially the one I'm doing this next Monday about death, are both intellectually challenging and emotionally challenging... and spiritually challenging. It's a good thing God is gonna help me out with it! :)

I've been pretty inconsistent with hanging out with Emily lately. I will need to apologize to her for that! I feel pretty disconnected from my high school group right now. I miss them. :( Hopefully Em and I will study tonight.

Puffball (my sister's rat) is sick, and I am pretty sure she is going to die. Unfortunately 3 of Molly's pets have died recently. But, with Puffball, it's going to be exceptionally sad. Puffy has such a human way of interacting. You can tell she appreciates company and being talked to. She's so friendly. Last night she was tucking her head under her body and shaking in her cage. When I picked her up she didn't grab onto me like usual. She just hung there without moving. Her eyes were only half open and her nose looked like it was bleeding a little. I hope she gets better.

On a lighter note. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. I love the feeling of the cool spring wind blowing through my hair. Walking on campus was wonderful! They had the pin-wheel/windmill toys set up on the south oval, spinning and reflecting the sunlight, making the ground sparkle. I read an article about the French elections and felt the joy of learning without being forced to. In the morning I went to Panera with Valerie and learned about hypocondria and health problems associated with stress.... I better watch out for those :)

Yesterday I went to my parent's. Amanda came over and we watched American Idol and then went grocery shopping. Simon was pretty hilarious last night. :) I think Melinda is my favorite, but Jordin will prolly win... no worries. I like both of them. Ok, back to work.
