The Kind Woman and the Castle Above the Clouds
I had an interesting and inexplicably fantastic dream last night. I wish my memory of it wasn't so vague.
The first scene was in a bustling city street on a sunny day. People walking to and fro on the sidewalks. A blonde, powerful woman strode confidantly on one side... I think she was wearing a red dress. A young man was walking in the opposite direction on the other side of the street. He stared at her intently. There was something about a saying or a prophecy- something like "Staring at a woman walking in the opposite direction" Not very impressive, but it had something do with his fascination with her. He turned around and tried to follow her. Tried to get her attention. She ignored him.
The second scene was in an old-fashioned banquet hall. Many people dressed in tuxedos and dresses sat around large round tables. It was an enormous hall full of several tables at different levels, each table filled by countless people. The moderate yellow lighting was provided by large, ornate chandeliers hanging conspicuously from the ceiling. The people laughed and talked as a storm raged outside. And these people talked about things.
They talked about a mysterious castle with its top above the clouds. I could see the castle. It was bizarrely shaped as if it was a giant pillar that only expanded into a full-fledged castle with multiple halls, rooms, and towers once it breached the barrier of clouds. It was storming, and the castle seemed to have a purple hue. I felt like the banquet hall was located inside of this castle and they shared the same storm. I wasn't sure when I woke up. Some people said there was something magical, haunted, or supernatural about this castle. Others disagreed. The first group of people argued that this was why no one had been able to conquer or claim the castle (which makes me doubt that this banquet hall was in the castle).
Mention was made of Dracula being the castle's lord, I think. Dracula and his bride, somehow concieved/created a child in the form of a small, lamb-like creature of a salmonish color. The child was saved from his diabolical parents by a woman. For some reason, a seemingly good one, this woman transformed the lamb child into a cloud. She cared very much for the child and said that he was the only person who could see the way a cloud does. I saw images of the woman sitting outdoors, lovingly holding the cloud-like creature in her lap. Everything about this image was from a fairy tale, the woman's dress, the color of the sky... Purplish again I think. But in this scene it was peaceful, not stormy. I felt, and still feel that this was the same blonde woman that was walking through the city. And I suspect that the scenes with the cloud child were in the castle. Perhaps after she got rid of his demonic parents
There was more conversation. It was about the woman in the city. People said that she walked around the city searching for the broken-hearted. The young man who had approached her had not been truly broken-hearted and needy so she ignored him. I'm not sure how I was informed of that last point. I may have been told, or I may have known with dream-omniscience. I may have been the young man and realized this myself, though I don't think he looked like me.
With my dream's eye I focused on one of the banquet's attendees. A middle aged, bearded, light-skinned, slightly heavy set man with dark features and a somber expression. I knew he was one of the broken-hearted people she sought. I knew.
