Dreams

This one starts out kind of fuzzy, but I can vaguely remember. To be more precise, I can remember the feelings that I experienced during it. I was in a video game of sorts, not really playing, just in the video game town watching the character do weird things. Because I know my extensive reader base wants to know, it was kind of like rts/action'ey, maybe like Soul Blazer. All I really remember of the visuals were a really bright and colorful town, and the main character/thing slinging a snail into a tree, and when it came out it looked all tech'd out. The strongest memory is the feeling of happiness and wonder as I observed the scenery around me.

Later that night..

I'm in a well light sandstone cave, and their are shafts of daylight shining down from holes in from of the ceiling. In front of me is a small man of indeterminate age, working on a rubik's cube. He is finishing it amazingly quickly, like in 1-2 seconds, but every time he finishes it, a hand reaches out from beside him and rescrambles the cube.

After observing the sequence 2-3 times, I follow the hand and see that it belongs to a man standing it what appears to be a wading pool with clear sides. He is hairless, and has small bone spikes studding his skull and forearms. Think DOOM style demon, only without the menacing snarl. In fact, he seems to be alright except for the fact that he's totally dicking over this rubik's cube guy next to him.

I look back at the puzzle solver and see that he has solved it, only this time instead of it being scrambled, the cube solidifies into a solid rock cube, not unlike the surrounding sandstone in the cave. The cube jumps into the air disintegrating into sand, before falling on the pool demon, turning into a stone blanket, and in the process petrifying the demon.

A narrative plays in my head. I watching the puzzle solver, as well as a group of other individuals that I had not noticed before leave the cave. Apparently, those in the cave with me were gods of some sort, or other powerful supernatural entities. As the narrative goes one, it explains that those gods that left the cave to venture out into the world were slain by mankind with their increasingly powerful technology, and the only survivor is this petrified demon thing.

I give this statue a once over, and realize that the petrification is incomplete, and that one of the bone spikes remains untouched. Cracks begin to emanate from this point in the stony shell, and Mr. Demon breaks free. I exit the cave and find myself in an alley with whitewashed walls. It appears that I am in a bazaar of other open air marketplace. It's not very busy, and only a few people are milling around.

A small group of people are congregating around a fountain, listening to a topless man, who might have been wearing a kilt. For some reason, I can't remember why, but this man and the people around him make me think that I'm at Burning Man or something like it. As the man concludes his talk, he mentions something about an extreme body mod that he had done, and I was kind of more curious than scared. (Hint: rhymes with chopping off the tip of his privates)
