I live in a room that used to be a dining room.

It even has a hutch, still, where I keep undies instead of silverwear and candlesticks.
And there are bars on the windows, lest I should fall out or try to escape. Outside the windows, there lies a (wooden) fire escape, itself held in by a chainlink fence, lest said attempted escape be successful at first.
On Halloween, I carved a jack o'lantern of Steve very early in the morning.
I wasn't sure people would be able to tell it was him, so I put a nametag on the back of his head.
Kira and I took a day off and drove to Madison on Halloween.
There was a modern art museum with a napping spot on the third floor.
It had a lovely view of State Street.
I even read some Dave Eggers stories before and after my nap.
Later, we found one of the many lakes.
Then we had to feel pensive for a while.
