Summary: Choutarou has a big, big crush on him, Shishido knows, because Shishido knows everything about Choutarou.

Choutarou has a crush on him, Shishido knows. It doesn't have anything to do with the way Choutarou smiles big and wide at him whenever they see each other, nor with the way that Choutarou turns pink every time Shishido does something that can be seen as romantic to the hopeful and optimistic (translation: when Shishido smiles back). It also doesn't have anything to do with the way Choutarou says his name so affectionately, nor with the way Choutarou fusses over him over a scratch that doesn't even hurt at all.
Shishido didn't find out because he knows that even though Choutarou's favorite is eggrolls, his kohai would gladly give his eggrolls to him if he just asked, but he never does, because he's a sempai and sempais aren't supposed to take advantage of Choutarou their kohais like that just because Choutarou their kohais have a crush on them.
No, Shishido didn't find out because of those reasons.
Shishido found out because he is a sempai and sempais are supposed to know everything about Choutarou their kohais.

It also isn't because Shishido-san's voice changes and becomes more affectionate whenever it's his name that's being said, or even because Shishido-san pretends that the scratch on his knee doesn't hurt at all because he gets all flustered whenever Choutarou comes close and fusses over him.
No, not because of those reasons.
Choutarou found out because he knows everything about Shishido-san, and because he loves Shishido-san so much. Choutarou knows because when it's Shishido-san, Choutarou just knows.
That's why Choutarou gives up his eggrolls even if Shishido-san doesn't ask because he knows Shishido-san loves eggrolls as much he does, and he quite likes the way Shishido-san turns pink and mumbles his gratitude. He also likes how Shishido-san always saves the eggrolls he gives for last.
Choutarou knows, but he'll never tell Shishido-san because Shishido-san is cute when he's disgruntled, so Choutarou pushes him more and more and hopes that one day, Shishido-san will be the first to say those three little words.
