Eastern Promises vid
My name is Tatiana.
My father died in the mines in my village,
so he was already buried when he died.
We were all buried there.
Buried under the soil of Russia.
That is why I left, to find a better life.

Wow. That was tiring. I didn't remotely imagine that creating a fanvideo could be THAT tiring, now that I think about it. It would have brought me some satisfaction if the outcome had been as good as I was hoping but... *deep sigh* Oh, well, guess this will have to be enough for now.
I was meditating on this awesome movie today: Eastern Promises. I watched it thousand times and it keeps being one of my favourites. Incredibly crude, incredibly real... Its harshness is suffocating, in some moments.
A thing I really REALLY liked of this movie is the character of Kirill: he seemed to me the most stereotypic guy when I was reading about him on movie magazines, but, thanks to Vincent Cassel's great performance, when you watch the movie, you find something.... more in him. And this something is something very sad... sadder than anything else in the story, in my opinion. And mind you, this story's got A LOT of sad things. His despair is tangible, his desire to be cared for, too... and his infatuation with Nikolai, his repressed love, is something I wasn't expecting when I decided to go and watch the movie and a detail that made those two hours spent in the theatre a very nice trip into human psychology.
Said this, I leave you my first official songvid (I have another song vid hidden somewhere on my pc, but I'm definitely not going to post it, till I discover what my mind meant by creating it in that way...). It's about Kirill's relationship with his father. Poor guy... He deserved better.
BTW, I know the Italian subtitles that can be seen in two scenes are quite annoying, but I didn't have the slightest idea about how to take them away. Any suggestion?
