Highlander the Raven Question

Does anybody know where the beginning of The Raven was set (I mean fictionally speaking, I know it was filmed in Toronto)? Was it a specific city, or a fictional one? I don't recall seeing it anywhere in any epsiodes, and Nick's one and only flashback has him on holiday in New York so that's no use. I want to write him a flashback set a few years before meeting Amanda so I'd like to know, even if there is no official answer. :)
