Jessi looks mildly peeved as she steps towards the bowling alley. No, her brother hasn't done anything at all; he's been very good since she ran into him. She's just having a hectic day, and while Kaden's being good, she's far too aware that he's not happy about her going on a date at all. She doesn't even want to think about all of that right now, though.
Right now, she wants to get Justin (who is very fond of the word no today) to the shoe counter, so she can go and attempt to find Danny. Justin's acting up, she's even later than she expected to be because traffic sucks, she's pretty sure her hair is a mess (which is only true by Jessi standards), and she's pretty sure she's going to screw this date up to epic proportions. It's not like she even really knows what a date entails. Or how she should act. Or what Danny's expecting.
She does love how he specifically picked an activity for all of them. Justin's a very real part of her life, and he doesn't seem bothered at all. In fact, Jessi jokingly wrote in one of her unsendables that she could even be mildly jealous of her on. About halfway through the process of handling a cranky almost four-year-old who really just wants to see Danny, she realizes she's not supposed to be paying for her shoes at all. About the time she's pulled Kaden's debit card out of her wallet.
Oh well. It's not like Danny has to pay for everything.
