A political opinion

Growing up, I took it for granted that I was free to express political opinions without worrying that someone was keeping track of them and someday would use them to determine who got sent to the Devil's Lake Internment Camp. Those halcyon days may be fading, but I am not quite willing to be muzzled. Besides, I expect to be living in some other ( Read more... )

Well, really, one that doesn't do warrantless wiretaps. That's not what this post was about, but really, that's the one issue that upsets me more than any other.

As for which country, probably Canada or Australia, although I haven't explored either in depth. I realize they have their own problems, but at the speed things are deteriorating here, they may be looking pretty good in, say, ten years. Or maybe Estonia... although, really, the climate sounds more appealing in Australia.
