Thank you so much for writing this. Neville's been my favorite character in Harry Potter for a long time, but I've only rarely seen someone express who he is and why we love him so perfectly.

Thanks! :) Yes, Neville is such an awesome character, and sometimes I don't think he gets the recognition he deserves. Putting this together was fun and a little challenging because I wasn't sure what to mention and what was safe to drop.

I love Neville deeply from the bottom of my heart and I always get teary at that scene where Alice hands him the sweet wrapper.

Oh, gosh! Me too! The wrapper scene gets me every time. The soft way Neville says "Thanks, Mum" and then he glares at Harry and the others afterwards. There's so much more there than what we see in the books. I just hope he'll get a major role in the final book.

Oh, such love for you for writing this. Thank you for putting into words exactly why I love Neville so. Like you, I didn't get into the Harry Potter books until the fall of 2002, when I promptly read all 4 books within a week, and fell in love with Neville almost immediately.
