Yeah, today was definitely a Monday. To start off with, I really, really didn't want to get out of bed. And then we kept having these really weird rainstorms that would just pop out of nowhere, completely drench you and then go away. And then, in the lab, we figured out (after doing a bunch of samples of course) that we had gotten a bad batch of a certain chemical and so the results were off. Sadly, I spent the afternoon looking at two professors looking at a tiny plastic bottle trying to figure out what the hell went wrong.
And then Josh found out that he has way too many years of school left, and so decided to drop his History double major and stick with GIS (computer geography and GPS). For him, this was a big deal. He always dreamed of working outdoors when he was young and then settling down to become a high school history teacher. I told him I'd stop to talk to him about it after the lab fiasco. We decided to have dinner and then ended up spending an hour and a half at Winco cause the ATM broke down.
But then the day got better. Josh cooked a delicous pasta dinner, of course (my man knows how to treat me right) and then I did dishes while watching him bounce around to a comedy song about Star Trek. It's amazing how he can make me me feel better just by being him.
I'm still worried about the future though. He has two years left, and I'm graduating. Being me, I take the whatever happens happens approach, whereas Josh has to have a plan in order to feel secure. We decided to table the discussion for tonight. It was probably a good idea, putting it in the context of the rest of the day.
