I was complaining because we still don't know why Amelia heard the Tardis a second time that first night.
But we're not done with that night yet. In the last scene, when the Doctor is saying we still don't know why the Tardis explodes etc., he repeats the date and says "why now?" What we know about the date is that it's the night before Amy's wedding and the night Amy runs away with the Doctor. If the date, some way some how, means Amy, and her house, and her memory, etc., then we don't have to be done yet with the first night of the new order, and they can still explain that shot.
Not that there weren't continuity errors. But I don't think that was one of them. There's just no reason for it. It cost money: they bought that shot & the sound effect for a reason. I like that they are willing make us wait more than a whole season to find out. This pleases me.
In other news, I'm not as sure as I was about River being the goddess - though, being an archeologist and all, the story has to involve her. But I still like the theory, because of her name. Her name gives me an itch. With our limited, Earthy perspective, do we know of a more river-centric, archeologist-attracting culture than Egypt? I think not.
But if it was Liz X on the phone, and it is about River, why doesn't Liz recognize her in 5145?
