Das BSGquickthought

WTF happened to the Gaius Baltar I know and am ambivalent about? Who is this courageous lover who puts another's needs before his own? Ah, how the love of two narcissists enobles them!

No, seriously, wow. I hope he'll still be funny.

As to the raping, well, this (and not the plausibility/coherence issue) is why the Cylon biology thing upsets me. If they are biologically human, they're human. You don't get to rape them. And anyone who is as uniformly without compunction on that score as the entire Pegasus crew seemed to be is scary as fuck.

Which is the PoV taken by the show, but the fact that the show is so wobbly on whether Cylons are or aren't biologically the same as humans plays fast and loose with the most serious moral and philosophical issues in the show.

Abu Ghraib: our show just went there.

Cubby had me over to watch. He liked BSG but SGA put him right to sleep, despite his hilarity over the cheesy costumes.

BTW, Cubby fans, I am very happy this week because he is making a major professional move. He got a new job in a whole new, higher, better job description (copywriter)- he's been working towards this for a long time, and he made it happen, and he starts the new job in a week. To Cubby!
